THE UNAUTHORIZED JIM'S STEAKOUT MUSICAL will receive a special Alleyworks workshop presentation May 1-3, 2026. Tickets are guaranteed only to subscribers due to the limited number of public performances.
Please note: this is a workshop presentation. What does that mean? Alleyway's mission is to develop and produce new works of theatre. This musical by Justin Karcher and Steven Edward is in the development phase. Alleyworks will support a full rehearsal process where the writers can explore their musical, working with a director and a full cast of actors to bring the story to life ... in the rehearsal room. Then, we'll invite the public to see the presentation without the added support of technical elements like lights, costumes, sets, props, etc.
This process is vital to a new play's development and we can't wait for you to join us on the ride!

The game has changed. Alleyway introduces a thrilling new chapter in the legend of Sherlock Holmes, through the eyes of his fierce, brilliant partner. Set in the gritty, jazz-infused world of 1946 Boston, HIS GIRL WATSON reimagines the iconic duo in a world premiere production that's utterly thrilling and unmistakably fresh. Prepare for intrigue, suspense, and a Dr. Watson like you’ve never seen her before.
In the shadowy aftermath of WWII, Dr. Josie Watson, a sharp-witted army veteran, is thrust into the dark underbelly of 1946 Boston. What begins as a simple errand to a reclusive figure on Baker Street quickly unravels into a city-wide conspiracy stemming from the brutal murder of a star baseball pitcher. As murders mount and a notorious crime family tightens its grip, Watson finds herself partnering with an enigmatic detective to untangle a web of secrets that threaten to consume them both. This is not the Sherlock story you know; it's a gripping noir reimagining where every deduction is a fight for survival.
