Vaccination & Masking Required

AUG 25, 2021:

Alleyway Theatre will now require vaccinations for all audience members (as well as performers, staff, and volunteers) for all performances through November 31, 2021. Masks will also be required for audiences inside the theatre, except while eating or drinking in designated locations.

Under the policy, guests will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine in order to attend a show and must show proof of vaccination (photo ID + vaccine card or Excelsior Pass) at their time of entry into the theatre.

“Fully vaccinated” means the performance date must be at least 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or at least 14 days after a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Exceptions can be made for children under 12 and people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination. Please call the box office at 716-852-2600 for more information.

For performances in December 2021 and beyond, Alleyway Theatre anticipates a review of policies, and may include a relaxation of certain provisions if the science dictates.

FACILITY UPDATES & ONGOING MONITORING

Our facility has been updated with MERV-13 air filters throughout, and an air/surface purifier installed in the lobby. Surfaces are cleaned regularly, and hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the building.

Alleyway continues to monitor all CDC and local, state and federal guidance on safety, and will make adjustments to our policies throughout the season.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

If a performance is cancelled for any reason, you will be able to exchange your ticket to another performance, receive credit for a future performance, or receive a refund.

Patrons with tickets for postponed performances will be able to exchange their tickets into a rescheduled performance date or receive credit for a future production.

The health and safety of our audiences, artists, volunteers, and staff is critical. If you are not feeling well, we urge you not to come to the theatre. Instead, call us at 716-852-2600 and we will work with you to arrange an alternative option.

Theatre is for everyone!

We value accessibility, and want to share theatre with the entire community.

PAY WHAT YOU CAN

Since 1991, Alleyway has offered PWYC performances for every production. We carry on that tradition as our commitment to making theatre available for everyone.

Beginning in 2021, Pay What You Can preview performances are offered the night before Opening for every Alleyway production. A limited number of tickets are available in advance online and others cash at the door.

ARTS ACCESS

Alleyway partners with Arts Services, Inc. to provide free tickets throughout the season as part of the Arts Access program.

PROJECT SPIRIT

Area elementary and middle school students are welcomed to special performances of A CHRISTMAS CAROL each season through our PROJECT SPIRIT initiative. These students receive special workshops and discussions from our staff and teaching artists before the show, immersing them in the world of theatre at a young age. If you're a teacher or school administrator and would like more information, reach out at hello@alleyway.com.

It's just business

We charge nominal ticketing fees to help offset the cost of creating theatre (aka doing business). Your ticketing fee helps to cover costs of our website, ticketing software, bank and merchant credit card fees, and maintaining our 80-year old facility.

TICKETING FEES

All individual tickets incur a $5 fee, whether they are purchased online, by phone, in person, or carrier pigeon.

Subscriptions and class registrations carry a fee of $7.50 each.

Some ticket types (like our 30 Under 30 tickets) have lower fees.

EXCHANGES

Subscribers never pay to move their tickets to a different performance. Individual ticket buyers are charged an a $5 fee for this service.

Refunds are not issued. In certain circumstances, the value of a patron's ticket will be kept on their account as a credit toward a future production.
