Since 1991, every Alleyway production has offered Pay What You Can performances. It’s how we keep theatre open to everyone.

Since 2022, the first performances before Opening Night have been Pay What You Can Previews. You choose what to pay and book online in advance. Other previews are Discounted. Although we don't guarantee it, a limited number of tickets may also be available at the door for anyone who’d rather pay cash.

Once a preview reaches a certain number of tickets sold, the minimum price may go up, so book early. All PWYC and Discounted previews are general admission seating.

Students (up through college) can show their ID for a discount! Enter "special passcode" STUD15 on the screen above where you select your seats to unlock student seating prices for regular performances in red or pink seats when available. One seat per ID.

Arts workers can show their union IDs or a current/recent playbill for a discount! Enter code INDUSTRY on the checkout screen to unlock a 35% discount on orange, red or pink seats for regular performances when available. One seat per ID.

Every performance at the Alleyway is priced on its own. Prices vary by night and by seating section, so the performance day and time you choose matters as much as the seat. Book early for the best seats at the best prices, because prices may fluctuate up and down across performances and can increase as a performance nears a sell-out.

Area community organizations, elementary and middle school students are welcomed to special performances of A CHRISTMAS CAROL each season through our PROJECT SPIRIT initiative. These students receive special workshops and discussions from our staff and teaching artists before the show, immersing them in the world of theatre at a young age.

Alleyway partners with Arts Services, Inc. to provide free tickets throughout the season as part of the Arts Access program. Members must request tickets at least 7 days in advance for any preview performance. If a production does not have a preview performance, these tickets will often be available for the two performances following the opening. Patrons are limited to two tickets per production, and MUST make a request in advance to the box office as we do not guarantee availability.
